Sogang University

  • ogang University, located in the South Korean capital Seoul, was founded by the Wisconsin province of the Society of Jesus, or Jesuits, in 1960. This followed assurances by Pope Pius XII, in the 1940s, that a Catholic higher education institution would be established in Korea.

  •  had six departments: economics, English, history, mathematics, philosophy and physics.The university has produced a string of notable graduates across the political, business and entertainment sectors.

ChungAng University

  • Chung-Ang University (CAU) is a private institution based in Seoul in South Korea. 

  • It began life in 1918, but gained comprehensive university status in 1953. Its two campuses (the other being in Anseong) house 10 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools, serving more than 30,000 students and 900 faculty members.

  • CAU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and is recognised as a national leader in the fields of pharmacy, culture and art education.

  • Its artistic prowess puts CAU at the forefront of the Korean culture wave, which is gaining more and more global prominence. It is therefore routinely the educator of South Korean culture icons, including members of K-pop bands Girls’ Generation and Big Bang.
