Nexus International School
  • Nexus International Schools’ learners have an open and creative mindset for better critical thinking skills; learning how to build strong supportive relationships, understanding their own impulses, and developing empathy for others. Encouraging them to see the world from a global perspective, our learners are taught to become independent through experiences within and beyond the classroom, whilst technology is embedded in the learning process to enhance creativity. In order to achieve this, The Nexus Way was developed as our guiding philosophy, adopting the key elements of Mindsets, Relationships, Inclusion, and Innovation.

  • Inspired learning starts with highly motivated and professional teachers. All our teachers are internationally qualified and experienced but the learning doesn't stop there. We invest in continuous staff training, from programmes such as our own in-house professional development, to coaching, to hosting guest speakers and sharing best practice with other international schools. Nexus encourages personal development, with 35% of teachers holding a Masters Degree, and with many more currently studying at postgraduate level. We also ensure our support staff are experienced; 61% of our classroom assistants have degrees. Language is very important; as an international school this is often the first time children experience a language that may not be their mother tongue. At Nexus we deliberately employ staff from across the globe who are able to speak a range of languages to help children communicate and build confidence.

Canadian International School
  • The Canadian International School (CIS) offers students an opportunity to develop through a diverse and challenging curriculum and a wide range of activities. Students are given ownership of the learning process and are encouraged to actively participate in their own education by setting personal goals and practicing on-going self-evaluation. Our inquiry- based programmes and activities encourage students to discover their interests and strengths. All of this is done in a safe, caring and supportive school environment that fosters positive attitudes and allows students to challenge themselves and be risk-takers, without the fear of being judged.

  • CIS will provide extraordinary learning opportunities for the globally connected student. A nurturing environment, an international curriculum, and a culturally diverse community will facilitate exceptional achievements. Together we will take action to make the world a better place.

  • Values should be more than inspiring or beautiful words. Our values are a behavioural blueprint that shape who we are as a school community and as individuals. In all that we do, we ask ourselves – does this promote what we value most?
